Deputy Lieutenant, Gurvinder Sandher, was delighted to represent the Lord-Lieutenant at a special football match between Punjab United based in Gravesham and Sporting Khalsa based in Wolverhampton. The match took place to coincide with the launch of South Asian Heritage Month in July. Both teams are recognised nationally as two of the top teams from South Asian heritage. Sporting Khalsa play at a slightly higher level and this was reflected in the 8-1 victory but huge congratulations to both teams for a fun day of football!
