The Lord-Lieutenant of Kent was delighted to present Ark Drama 2000 with The King’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest honour bestowed on voluntary groups in the United Kingdom.
For more than 25 years, Ark Drama 2000 has provided a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for children with special educational needs, supporting their confidence, creativity and personal development. Their impact on families across Kent reflects the remarkable dedication, compassion and commitment of their volunteers.
The Lord-Lieutenant praised the organisation’s enduring ethos of care and inclusion, and its ability to foster a strong and supportive community where every child is valued and encouraged to thrive.
The Lord-Lieutenant was pleased to be supported by Deputy Lieutenant Brigadier Nick Baveystock and her Lord-Lieutenant Cadet, Cadet Sergeant Emily Metcalf, at this special presentation.
Our warmest congratulations to everyone involved in this outstanding achievement.
