“Our thoughts are with Her Majesty The Queen on what would have been Prince Philip’s 100th birthday”
On Thursday 10 June 2021, HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the husband of Her Majesty The Queen for more than 72 years, would have reached his 100th birthday.
Sadly, his death on 9 April 2021, just two months ago, denied him this special achievement.
Many celebrations had been planned to mark what would have been an historic and joyful occasion for a man who gave so much to The Queen, the Royal Family, the Commonwealth and our nation.
The Lady Colgrain, the Lord-Lieutenant of Kent and Her Majesty’s official representative in the county, said:
“The thoughts of the people of Kent and Medway are with Her Majesty The Queen and the rest of the Royal Family on this bittersweet and poignant day.”
