Deputy Lieutenant Gavin McKinnon was delighted to represent the Lord-Lieutenant at the Tunbridge Wells Mela Festival, held in Calverley Grounds earlier this month.
Celebrating its 20th year, the festival has become a much-loved annual event and a vibrant showcase of culture, community and diversity in Tunbridge Wells. Bringing together people from a wide range of backgrounds, the Mela continues to promote understanding, inclusion and community cohesion through a programme of music, dance, food and family-friendly activities.

The festival remains a highlight of the local calendar and a testament to the strong community spirit that exists across the borough.
The Lieutenancy extends its sincere thanks to Gavin McKinnon for representing the Lord-Lieutenant and to everyone at Cohesion Plus for organising such a successful and welcoming event.
Our warmest congratulations to all involved in reaching this significant milestone and for continuing to bring people together through this unique festival.
