The Lord-Lieutenant, The Lady Colgrain, was honoured to be made a Commander in the Order of St John at an Investiture ceremony at the Priory Church, London on 17 May 2023. Others receiving this medal included Raymond Ashman and Dr Ian Jutting, County President for Kent. Alan Cooper from Kent was made a Member of the Order of St John. They were part of the last group of admissions and promotions in The Order to have been sanctioned by Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. James London, Chair of the Kent St John Priory Group commented “It was with a real sense of pride to see three such worthy recipients from Kent being made Commanders of the Order of St John. This reflects both engagement and support of the Order over a sustained period. I congratulate the three Commanders. Alongside other Kent award winners, Alan Cooper of Ashford Adult Unit was admitted into the Order as a Member. This recognises the fantastic work Alan has done in St John Ambulance at Ashford and around the County.”
Wishing many congratulations to Lady Colgrain and all the recipients.
