The Lord-Lieutenant was thrilled to present The King’s Award for Voluntary Service to Abbey Physic Community Garden, a beautiful, inclusive space in the heart of Faversham where people grow more than just plants. This therapeutic garden is a lifeline for many facing mental or physical ill health, loneliness, or isolation. Through gardening, art, cookery, mindfulness, and simple conversation, volunteers create a vibrant, welcoming space where people reconnect, rebuild, and thrive. Many who arrive as beneficiaries go on to become volunteers themselves, a powerful reflection of the life-changing impact volunteering can make. Congratulations to everyone involved, this was such a special day and the Lord-Lieutenant and her Deputy Lieutenant, Hils Edridge thoroughly enjoyed celebrating with everyone.
