On Armed Forces Day, Deputy Lieutenant Paul Barrett represented the Lord-Lieutenant at celebrations held in Canterbury, joining local communities in paying tribute to the men and women who serve in the Armed Forces.

The event was attended by the Lord Mayor of Canterbury and brought together veterans, serving personnel, cadets, and their families for a day of recognition and gratitude. Highlights included a vibrant parade through the city, military displays, and opportunities for the public to engage with representatives from the Royal Navy, Army, and Royal Air Force.

Armed Forces Day is an important occasion to honour the dedication and sacrifice of those who protect our nation. The Lord-Lieutenant of Kent is proud to support these celebrations and extend thanks to all who serve, past and present.
