The Lord-Lieutenant of Kent was delighted to see the Holi Festival of Colours return to Dartford’s Open-Air Theatre in Central Park on Sunday 8 March. Represented on the day by Deputy Lieutenant Gurvinder Sandher MBE, the Lord-Lieutenant was pleased to support this vibrant celebration, which once again brought the community together in a joyful display of unity, diversity and renewal. The festival filled the park with music, dance, and the iconic throwing of coloured powder. Hundreds of residents of all ages joined in, embracing the spirit of Holi, a tradition rooted in love, friendship, and the triumph of good over evil. Elsewhere in the county, Deputy Lieutenant, Andrew Wood, represented the Lord-Lieutenant at the Maidstone Holi celebrations. The Lord-Lieutenant extends her warm thanks to everyone involved in delivering such uplifting community events.
