The Lord-Lieutenant has had a busy couple of weeks presenting the 2020 winners of The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service with their Awards. The presentations have all taken place now that restrictions have been lifted so that all volunteers involved could be there on their special day to receive this honour. The Queen’s Award for Voluntary service is the MBE of Volunteering and we are delighted that we have finally been able to celebrate this with these great Kent groups. Many congratulations to Nourish Community Foodbank, Broadstairs Town Shed and The Historical Research Group of Sittingbourne for this incredible achievement, we are extremely fortunate to have exceptional groups like yours in the county, doing so much good for the most vulnerable in the community and preserving Kent’s rich history. The final 2020 winner, Home Start Medway, will be presented with their Award in September and we are very much looking forward to this.
