Deputy Lieutenant, Kate Fenwick, was absolutely thrilled to attend the Launch of Wheels of Time 2022. The Wheels of Time is an initiative developed to promote education in history and heritage among young children. The scheme encourages children to visit museums and heritage sites in Kent, offering badges as an incentive to visit multiple sites and joint promotional activities. Children visiting any member site are given a badge designed for that site and on visiting their second site, children are also given a Wheels of Time lanyard on which to collect their badges.
Wheels of Time and ‘Roamin Rex’ certainly captures the imagination of those young participants who feel inspired to seek out the museums and heritage sites and to collect a badge and lanyard. It’s wonderful that children in the County are being given this opportunity to broaden their knowledge and learn more about the wonderful history we have here in Kent.
We thank all of those who support Wheels of Time, it is extremely rare to see such a dynamic scheme operating with so many volunteers and we are very fortunate to have such a fantastic project in Kent.
