The Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to welcome His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester to Kent on 9 July, when His Royal Highness undertook a number of engagements across the county.
During the visit, The Duke visited The Amelia Scott in Tunbridge Wells, where he learned more about the centre’s heritage, arts, education and wellbeing programmes. His Royal Highness met staff, volunteers and local schoolchildren and had the opportunity to see first-hand the wide range of activities and opportunities provided by the centre.

His Royal Highness also visited TS Brilliant Sea Cadets, Hospice in the Weald and St Mary the Virgin Church, meeting those who contribute so much to their communities and learning more about the valuable work being carried out across Kent.
The Lord-Lieutenant was pleased to accompany His Royal Highness throughout the visit and extends her sincere thanks to everyone who helped make the day such a success, including the staff, volunteers and organisers at each venue.
Special thanks are also extended to the Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet, Cadet Sergeant Faye Holliday, for her support and assistance throughout the visit.
