The Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, Lady Colgrain, together with her Vice Lord-Lieutenant and Deputy Lieutenants, joined communities across the county to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in service to our nation during Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day commemorations.

On Remembrance Sunday, Lady Colgrain attended the service at Canterbury Cathedral, accompanied by her Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet, Sergeant Jessie-May Arnold. Prior to the service, the Lord-Lieutenant laid a wreath at the War Memorial, reflecting the county’s deep gratitude to all who served and sacrificed.

The Vice Lord-Lieutenant, Sir Hugh Robertson, attended the Rochester Cathedral service and parade. Across Kent, Deputy Lieutenants attended ceremonies in towns and villages, joining local councils, veterans, cadets, and community groups in acts of remembrance.

On Armistice Day, members of the Lieutenancy continued to honour the fallen at services and two-minute silences held throughout the county, reaffirming the enduring importance of remembrance. The Kent Lieutenancy is proud to support these important occasions, ensuring that the legacy of those who served lives on in the hearts of our communities.
