The Lord-Lieutenant, Lady Colgrain, was delighted to visit Kent Search and Rescue at Lower Grange Farm, Sandling, where she learned more about the invaluable work carried out by this dedicated volunteer team.
During the visit, Lady Colgrain was given an insight into the wide-ranging capabilities of Kent Search and Rescue, including demonstrations of their special boats, underwater sonar and recovery techniques, drones and highly trained search dogs. She also had the opportunity to meet the volunteers whose expertise and commitment underpin the organisation’s vital work across the county.
The Lord-Lieutenant was accompanied by Deputy Lieutenants Lord Colgrain, Jo Holmes and Sir George Jessel, who all greatly appreciated the opportunity to observe the team in action and to gain a deeper understanding of the important role the organisation plays in supporting emergency services and local communities.
Our sincere thanks to everyone at Kent Search and Rescue for the warm welcome and for a most informative and inspiring visit.
