Deputy Lieutenant Clive Stevens was pleased to join the High Sheriff of Kent at a visit to National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) Ramsgate.
Hosted at the San Clu Hotel, the event brought together a range of organisations that work collaboratively to help keep communities and visitors safe along the Thanet coastline. Organised by the NCI Ramsgate team, the presentation provided an opportunity to learn more about the vital roles played by the many agencies involved in coastal search and rescue operations, and the close partnership working that underpins effective emergency response.
The visit highlighted the important contribution made by volunteers and emergency services in safeguarding those who live, work and spend time on Kent’s coastline.

Clive greatly appreciated the opportunity to meet those involved and to learn more about their invaluable work.
Our warmest thanks to everyone involved in organising the event and sincere appreciation to all those whose dedication and commitment help keep people safe at sea and along Kent’s coast.
