The Lord-Lieutenant was pleased to present Medway Watersports Trust with The King’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest recognition for voluntary groups in the United Kingdom.

During a special celebration at their waterside centre in Gillingham, the Lord-Lieutenant congratulated the Trust on this significant achievement, recognising the dedication of its volunteers and the life-changing opportunities they provide through inclusive watersports.

The Trust’s work to build confidence, skills and resilience, particularly among young people and those facing challenges, is truly inspiring and makes it a valued asset to the local community. The presentation marked a proud moment of Royal recognition for an organisation whose impact continues to be felt well beyond the water.

The Lord-Lieutenant was pleased to be supported by Deputy Lieutenant Ben Moorhead and her Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet, Petty Officer Cadet Tede Campbell of Sheppey Sea Cadets, at this special occasion.

Our warmest congratulations to everyone at Medway Watersports Trust on this outstanding achievement.
