In March, the Lord-Lieutenant joined the celebrations for the 150th Anniversary of the Salvation Army in Chatham, one of the oldest Salvation Army’s in the world. It was commenced in 1873 when William Booth was the leader of ‘Christian Mission’ which then became The Salvation Army in 1878. World leaders of The International Salvation Army visited Kent for a Service of Celebration in Rochester Cathedral. Many congratulations to Chatham Salvation Army for this significant achievement.
