On Monday evening, the Lord-Lieutenant attended the Chairman of Kent County Council’s Virtual Civic Reception. Lady Colgrain joined the Chairman, Graham Gibbens and the High Sheriff of Kent to meet with the Mayors and the Chairmen in the County and welcome any new Mayors and Chairmen who have taken up their role during this unusual time. 
The Chairman had also organised a speaker from his chosen charity for the year, Porchlight to attend and it was extremely moving to hear about the fantastic things they have been doing during the pandemic.
The Lord-Lieutenant very much welcomed the opportunity to meet with everyone and discuss what they are all doing in Kent and their local communities during this difficult time. We thank the Chairman for organising this event.
