On Wednesday 8 October 2025, The Lady Colgrain, Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, attended a special Service of Thanksgiving at Rochester Cathedral to mark the 350th anniversary of Lady Boswell’s Church of England Aided Primary School.
Held in the historic setting of Rochester Cathedral, the service brought together pupils from Years 2 to 6, staff, governors, trustees, and distinguished guests to celebrate the school’s remarkable legacy. The Lord-Lieutenant was invited to attend as HM The King’s official representative in the county, recognising the significance of this milestone in the life of the school and its community.

Highlights included musical performances by pupils, heartfelt reflections on what Lady Boswell’s means to its children, and tributes to past headteachers. The Lord-Lieutenant delivered a message of congratulations, expressing admiration for the school’s enduring values and its contribution to education in Kent.
Also in attendance were the Mayor and Mayoress of Sevenoaks, representatives of the Lady Margaret Boswell Trust, and the school’s Co-Headteachers, Hannah Pullen and Sharon Saunders, alongside Chair of Governors Kate Phillips. The Lord-Lieutenant was warmly welcomed and thanked for her presence, which added a special sense of occasion to this memorable celebration of Lady Boswell’s School’s 350-year history.
