HM Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, The Viscount De L’Isle MBE attended the CRM office on the Medway City Estate in Rochester on the 16th October to present the Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
Established in 2003, CRM Logistics Ltd provide freight and warehousing services. The company provides bespoke services and has a policy of high-quality after-sales reporting which underpins its approach and serves as a strong baseline for winning new business. Although small with 16 employees, the company is a successful exporter and it has expanded its markets through recommendations and overseas visits. The company also follows a defined strategy and invests in facilities to support its strategy such as advanced software to allow customers to track and trace their cargo. It wins the Queen’s Award for International Trade for growth in overseas earnings of 575% over the last three years.
After words of welcome from Mr Matt Smith, Managing Director, Deputy Lieutenant Russell Race read the citation, and the Lord-Lieutenant made the presentation.
On presenting the award the Lord-Lieutenant said: “I congratulate and thank each and every person involved in CRM’s remarkable success story, for what you are achieving and will go on to achieve. Kent and Medway are extremely fortunate to have so many SMEs leading the way with innovative approaches to their business, which augurs well for the future of our wider county. Great Britain relies on overseas trade to pay its way in the world. The cut glass Trophy and certificate I am presenting today, is proof that you have been assessed as one of a handful of companies, from many thousands of entrants, worthy of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2015 in the International Trade Category for this year.”
