The Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to present Mr John Cannon with his MBE at the Archbishop’s Palace last week. Mr Cannon was awarded with the MBE for Services to the British Cobnut Industry in the New Year Honours list. 
Unfortunately, Investitures at the Buckingham Palace have been unable to take place this year due to the pandemic. Mr Cannon didn’t wish to delay receiving his medal so the Archbishop’s Palace very kindly allowed us to present him with the medal in their covid secure venue. 
All social distancing measures were followed and Mr Cannon’s grandson Tom had the pleasure of pinning on Mr Cannon’s medal. Wishing Mr Cannon many congratulations from us all in the Lieutenancy, an extremely well deserved award.
