The Lord-Lieutenant was honoured to attend the annual Ramsgate Royal Navy Association Channel Dash Memorial Service, held to remember the brave personnel who took part in Operation Fuller in 1942. This important commemoration reflects Kent’s significant role during the Second World War, and the Lord-Lieutenant was pleased to join the Mayor of Ramsgate, families of those involved, representatives of the Royal Naval Association and members of the local community in paying tribute.

The Lord-Lieutenant took part in the wreath laying ceremony, honouring those who lost their lives and recognising the families who continue to attend each year to keep their memory alive. Thank you to all involved in ensuring this important anniversary is remembered each year.
