World Homeless Day is on Saturday 10 October 2020. Ahead of this, Porchlight asked the Lord-Lieutenant and Deputy Lieutenants to support their Wear Purple for Porchlight campaign to raise awareness of the organisation and the incredible, and sadly much needed, work they do in the County for the homeless and vulnerable in our communities. It was an absolute pleasure for the Lord-Lieutenant and the Deputy Lieutenants to be involved in this way and we hope the campaign has encouraged people to find out more about Porchlight and what they can do to help, especially during this difficult time.
The Dean of Canterbury, who is also one of our Deputy Lieutenants, The Very Reverend Dr Robert Willis has put together this very special message for World Homeless Day. We look forward to seeing Cantebury Cathedral lit up purple in support of Porchlight on World Homeless Day.
