On Tuesday 25 February, we were thrilled to welcome Her Majesty The Queen to Kent. Her Majesty The Queen visited Canterbury and unveiled a statue of Aphra Behn, the Canterbury born playwright who was England’s first professional female writer. Her Majesty visited The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge where she met with local school children, library volunteers and members of the library’s book club.
