Deputy Lieutenant Brigadier Andrew Wood TD DL represented the Lord-Lieutenant at this year’s Rainham Community Awards, celebrating the exceptional individuals who help make Rainham such a vibrant and caring community. With 140 guests in attendance, the evening shone a spotlight on volunteers, educators, environmental champions, and local leaders whose dedication and kindness continue to make a lasting impact.
Hosted by the brilliant Phil Gallagher (Mr Maker) and Nicola Everett, the event was full of uplifting stories and well-deserved recognition. Brigadier Wood joined the Mayor of Medway and Naushabah Khan in presenting awards and meeting some of Rainham’s inspiring members of the community. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners and thank you to all the organisers of this special event.
