Vice Lord Lieutenant Rt Hon Sir Hugh Robertson represented The Lord-Lieutenant at the 2025 Corps of Royal Engineers Memorial Service at Rochester Cathedral. During the service, which was attended by a number of serving Royal Engineers, their families, old comrades and civic representatives, The Chief Royal Engineer, Lieutenant General Sir Chris Tickell KBE laid a wreath at the Royal Engineers Memorial in the Cathedral. The Vice Lord-Lieutenant subsequently took the salute as the regiment exercised its right to the Freedom of the City by marching down the High Street.
