Deputy Lieutenant Colonel Jane Carey-Harris was delighted to represent the Lord-Lieutenant at the West Kent District Sea Cadets Awards Evening, held at Brompton Barracks, Chatham, on 25 September.
The evening celebrated the remarkable achievements, commitment and dedication of Sea Cadets from across the district. Through a series of presentations, awards and speeches, cadets were recognised for their hard work throughout the year and for the positive contribution they make to their units and local communities.
Colonel Carey-Harris was pleased to join cadets, families, volunteers and supporters in congratulating the award recipients and recognising the invaluable contribution of the adult volunteers whose encouragement, leadership and commitment help young people develop confidence, skills and resilience.
Our warmest congratulations to all the cadets recognised during the evening and sincere thanks to the volunteers and supporters who help make these opportunities possible.
