The Kent Lieutenancy Annual Meeting was held in April at the Orchards in East Malling.

We were pleased to welcome William Glover, Diversity and Community Relations Magistrate for the South East, where he spoke about the role of the Magistracy and the need for more Magistrates. This was a really important talk and highlighted how important Magistrates are in the community. We would like to thank William for taking the time to speak to us.

The Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to present the newest Deputy Lieutenants with their Commissions of Appointment. Congratulations to Paul Barrett, Marian Boswall, Jane Carey-Harris, Hilary Edridge, Nicholas Fisher, Gurvinder Sandher and Andrew Wood.

The Lieutenancy AGM is a fantastic time to bring all the Deputy Lieutenants together with the Lord-Lieutenant and Vice Lord-Lieutenant and share ideas and plans for the future.
