The Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to present the Awards at the SERFCA Lord-Lieutenant’s Awards Ceremony in November. The Ceremony celebrated the achievements of some outstanding individuals in our county.

Awards were presented to Reservists and Cadets. The Reserves are a vital asset to the nation, contributing to its security, its safety and its place in the world. Reservists are highly respected and well-rewarded: they enjoy the kind of challenge and comradeship which are rare in civilian life and yet are able to balance military service with their responsibilities to their families and civilian careers.

We are very fortunate to have so many fantastic Cadet Units in Kent. The cadets provide wonderful opportunities to both the cadets and their volunteer instructors.

The Lord-Lieutenant took the opportunity to give special thanks to her outgoing Lord-Lieutenant Cadets and to give a warm welcome and huge congratulations to the new 2023 cadets.

Thank you to SERFCA and all involved in the organisation of this wonderful event and well done to all the recipients of the Awards.
