The Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to attend this year’s Battle of Britain Memorial Day in July and was accompanied by one of her Lord-Lieutenant Cadets. The Guest of Honour at the event was the Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston KCB CBE ADC. The annual event takes place at the Battle of Britain Memorial in Capel Le Ferne and gives those with connections to ‘The Few’, the opportunity to remember them and pay tribute to all those involved in this important part of the country and the county’s history.
