Commonwealth Day took place on Monday 14 March and Local Authorities across Kent celebrated this important day by raising their Commonwealth Flags. Deputy Lieutenants represented the Lord-Lieutenant at Flag Raising Ceremonies around the County including at Kent County Council, Sevenoaks and Gravesend. Deputy Lieutenant, Peter Blackwell, attended a very special Commonwealth Day celebration at Tunbridge Wells Borough Council where he met with local school children so they could learn more about the Commonwealth and the importance it holds today.
