On 26 May, the Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to welcome HRH The Duke of Gloucester to Kent. His Royal Highness visited Romney Marsh Community Hub where he met with volunteers and users of the hub and learnt more about the ways in which the Hub supported the community during the pandemic and how they continue to so. He then visited Mountfield Business Centre in New Romney where he was briefed on this innovative joint project between Folkestone and Hythe District Council and East Kent Spatial Development Company. Next on the programme, was Littlestone Coastal Destination Project where His Royal Highness received a briefing on the national importance of the site and the Marsh area as a whole. Finally, The Duke of Gloucester paid a visit to Littlestone RNLI Lifeboat Station where he met with volunteers and crew members.

We would like to thank everyone involved in this fantastic visit to a wonderful part of the County, particularly Folkestone and Hythe District Council.
