The Lord-Lieutenant was pleased to attend the Kent Royal British Legion’s thank you event for the volunteers who co-ordinate the Poppy Appeal in Kent. Without these volunteers, the annual Poppy Appeal wouldn’t happen and we are so grateful for all they are doing to ensure that people can purchase poppies and other merchandise, raising much needed funds for the Royal British Legion. Whilst visiting, the Lord-Lieutenant had the opportunity to tour the factory and was shown the brand new machine that is making the new fully recyclable paper poppies. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the Royal British Legion including all the volunteers who make the Kent Poppy Appeal such a huge success.
