The Lord-Lieutenant was thrilled to be able to finally present the two Kent businesses who were awarded with The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2020 with their Awards.  Due to the pandemic, these presentations haven’t been able to take place until now so they were extra special celebrations after such a long wait.  Priority Freight won the Award in the International Trade category.  They are a freight and logistics company and have enjoyed phenomenal overseas sales growth over the past six years.  They have risen to the challenges that Brexit and Covid-19 have presented and are a dedicated and committed team.  Nim’s Fruit Crisps wins the Award in the Innovation category for their crisps which are the only snack which Public Health England recognises as one of your five a day.  This innovative company are based in Sittingbourne and produce a wide variety of products, using mainly local produce and are an asset to the County.  We are so proud of both these winners and are delighted that they are based in Kent.  Well done to them both.
