The Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to join the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) during Volunteers’ Week for their annual Volunteers’ Celebration event.
Bringing together more than 60 volunteers, the event recognised the vital role they play in supporting the delivery of lifesaving pre-hospital emergency care across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Lady Colgrain met volunteers whose dedication spans many years, with Long Service Awards presented to those giving between five and 25 years of service. The celebration also included personal reflections, the opportunity to see a KSS helicopter up close, and time for volunteers to come together over afternoon tea.
The Lord-Lieutenant praised the volunteers’ selfless commitment, noting the inspiring contribution they make in sustaining this vital service and supporting communities across the region.
