The Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to attend the SERFCA Awards Evening at Ashford School, celebrating the remarkable commitment, service and achievements of Reservists, Cadets and volunteers from across the South East.

The awards highlighted the outstanding contribution made by individuals who selflessly serve their communities, balancing military commitments with family life, education and civilian careers. The Lord-Lieutenant congratulated the evening’s deserving award winners and thanked the families, friends, employers and organisations whose support makes that service possible.

A special thank you was extended to the outgoing Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets for their dedication, enthusiasm and exemplary service throughout their year. Lady Colgrain also offered a warm welcome and congratulations to the newly appointed 2026 Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets, wishing them every success in the year ahead.

Particular congratulations were extended to former Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet, Cadet Warrant Officer Imogen Freelove of 354 (Dover) Squadron RAF Air Cadets, whose outstanding achievements were recognised with both the Best Tri-Service Cadet of Sussex Award and the prestigious Pooley Tri-Service Sword of Honour, awarded to the best cadet in the South East of England.

Our warmest congratulations to all the award recipients and sincere thanks to SERFCA and everyone involved in delivering such a memorable evening of celebration and recognition.
