Deputy Lieutenant Dr Bhargawa Vasudaven was delighted to represent the Lord-Lieutenant at the Kent Cheer Academy Summer Showcase on 6 June.
Held across a full day of performances, the showcase brought together athletes, families and members of the wider community to celebrate a season of dedication, growth and achievement. From energetic routines to moments that demonstrated teamwork and resilience, the event highlighted not only the athletic talents of the participants but also the confidence and community spirit nurtured by Kent Cheer Academy.
Creating an inclusive and supportive environment for young people remains at the heart of the organisation’s work, and this was evident throughout the day. Dr Vasudaven greatly enjoyed meeting the athletes and seeing first-hand the positive impact that Kent Cheer Academy continues to have within the local community.
