Deputy Lieutenant Jane Ashton was delighted to represent the Lord-Lieutenant at the Grand Opening of the Small Cat Rescue Centre and Rusty-Spotted Cat Conservation Centre at The Big Cat Sanctuary.
The new facilities mark an exciting milestone for The Big Cat Sanctuary, providing a dedicated home for rescued small cats while supporting the conservation of the world’s smallest wild cat, the rusty-spotted cat.
Following welcome speeches, Jane had the pleasure of joining the ribbon-cutting ceremonies and learning more about the Sanctuary’s vital rescue, welfare and conservation work. The project reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to the protection of vulnerable species, alongside its important role in raising awareness of wildlife conservation.
