Deputy Lieutenant Louise Bryant was delighted to represent the Lord-Lieutenant at the Wrotham Festival of Light, joining residents for a vibrant evening celebrating community spirit, creativity and culture.
Despite the wet weather, the festival attracted an impressive turnout, with local families enjoying a colourful lantern parade, live music and drumming performances, and a spectacular fireworks finale.
It was particularly pleasing to see pupils from St George’s Primary School proudly displaying the lanterns they had created as part of the festival celebrations, showcasing both their creativity and enthusiasm.
Organised by Cohesion Plus, the event once again demonstrated the power of the arts to bring communities together, create lasting memories and foster a strong sense of belonging.
Our sincere thanks to Cohesion Plus for organising such a successful event and to everyone involved in helping to make the evening such a memorable occasion.
