Deputy Lieutenant Colonel Jane Carey-Harris TD DL VR was pleased to attend the Barton Court Grammar School Awards Evening, held towards the end of last year at Woolf College, University of Kent. This celebration was extended to recognise students from Years 8 to 13, providing a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge both outstanding academic achievements and recipients of the school’s citizenship prizes.
Representing the Kent Lieutenancy, Colonel Jane presented the awards and delivered an inspiring address to students and guests. Drawing on her distinguished career of more than 40 years in the NHS, she shared valuable insights and encouragement, urging students to embrace opportunity and strive for excellence.
