Deputy Lieutenant Nadra Ahmed was delighted to visit Benenden Hospital, where she learned more about the organisation’s commitment to innovation, patient care and workforce development.
During the visit, Nadra met members of staff from a range of departments and heard about advances in clinical services, including robotic-assisted knee replacement technology and diagnostic liver scanning. She also spent time on Bensan Ward, discussing the importance of dementia-friendly healthcare environments and learning more about the hospital’s work to support and develop future healthcare professionals through its apprenticeship programmes.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and reflect on the important role that collaboration between health and social care services plays in delivering positive outcomes for individuals, families and communities across Kent.
