Deputy Lieutenant, Bill Cockcroft, was delighted to officially open the 6th Ramsgate Sea Scouts’ new HQ in the Summer. Two years ago, the group were donated an unused building which was in desperate need of renovation works. The whole leadership team of 6th Ramsgate Sea Scouts worked tirelessly – applying for grants, painting, building and much more. The first stage of this huge project is their new HQ which was celebrated by a grand opening day with the opportunity for sponsors, friends and family to come along and see the new building. Bill was delighted to attend and to officially cut the ribbon. Well done to the Ramsgate Sea Scouts on this fantastic project, we hope that the Scouts will enjoy their new building for many years to come.
