Deputy Lieutenant Chris Nickols was pleased to represent the Lord-Lieutenant at the Sunken Garden Eco Fair in Westbrook, Margate.
This year’s theme, “Thanet – Keeping it Local”, celebrated the individuals, organisations and community projects helping to create a more sustainable and nature-rich future across Thanet.
Visitors enjoyed a programme of talks, workshops, demonstrations and eco-friendly exhibitors, all highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship, biodiversity and local action. The event also showcased the dedication of the volunteers behind the ongoing restoration and revival of the much-loved Sunken Garden, recognising the significant contribution they continue to make to both the local community and the natural environment.
