Lord Northbourne was pleased to represent the Lord-Lieutenant at the Battle of Britain Memorial at an extremely informative and entertaining illustrated talk given by the RAF Presentation Team. The informative presentation about the modern Royal Air Force was delivered by WO Sonja Derbyshire and AS1(T) Catherine Brady, both serving RAF personnel with a wide breadth of experience, including active duty on recent British military operations worldwide. They delivered a fantastic presentation, showcasing the current operations, cutting-edge equipment and outstanding people that make up the Royal Air Force. The presentation was enhanced by the use of stunning photographs and video taken during operations undertaken worldwide by the Royal Air Force. As well as presenting the current service, the presentation also looked to future roles and equipment and the role of the newly formed Space Command. The Memorial commemorates the RAF in 1940, when new cutting edge equipment and tactics were being used, and the RAF Team of today illustrated that the RAF in 2022 are also at the cutting edge with equipment and tactics.
