Marco Ltd was established in 1985 by Murray Hilborne and manufactures intelligent fresh produce packaging equipment for pre-packed soft fruit and vegetables.

The company won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade for growing its overseas sales over the last three years and significantly increasing its exports as a percentage of annual turnover.

Marco Ltd commits to market entry in two new countries each year and has established new business in North America, Peru, South Africa, Chile, Zimbabwe and Denmark.  The company is held in very high regard within their industry.

When presenting the award the Lord-Lieutenant said “It is magnificent to hear of an innovative Kent business leading the way for other companies into export markets. Great Britain relies on overseas trade to pay its way in the world”.
