On Wednesday 1 July, the RBLI held a very special socially distanced Awards Ceremony for their Nurses and Carers to recognise and thank them for their incredible efforts during the Covid crisis.
This has been an unprecedented nursing challenge and the response, not only by the Nurses and Carers at the RBLI, but across the Country has been exceptional. Deputy Lieutenant, Stephen Kingsman DL, who is the Chairman of the RBLI presented the awards at the highly emotional ceremony, which can be viewed on the RBLI’s Facebook page.
Martin Barraud, the visual artist behind the RBLI’s Tommy, designed a very special Florence Nightingale Award which was presented to the RBLI’s nursing, care and catering staff, and also the volunteers who came in to help with care work when the virus was at its peak.
Since the Awards ceremony, there has been a huge interest in the Florence awards and more information on them can be found here.
We would like to congratulate the wonderful RBLI on this excellent event.
